Another reverse showing Sol in chariot facing shows variations in the lettering and Sol's body. The legend, SOLI INVICTO, translates to "The Unconquered Sun".
This design proved to be a difficult one to strike up properly, and many pieces are seen with areas of flatness in the center of the design or on the obverse bust.
