The Triumph of Probus

Obverse:
IMP C PROBUS PF AVG Cuirassed bust facing right. This coin is for all intents and purposes FDC, except for a tiny amount of discoloration in the toning on the high points and in the right field. This is another example of beautifully detailed ceremonial armor worn by this emperor depicted on his coins.

Reverse:
PAX AVG XXIVI, + in left field. Pax stg left holding flower and long sceptre.

The coin is listed in David Sear's Roman Coins and their Values as s3379.
