The Triumph of Probus
Obverse:
IMP PROBVS AVG Large majestic cuirassed bust of Probus facing left holding an eagle - tipped sceptre. The portrait of Probus on this coin is unusually large, almost medallic in character. He wears ornately decorated ceremonial armor and what appears to be a consular robe over the armor. This coin may be a commemorative issue.
Reverse:
ROMAE AETER, privy mark in exergue is R E with a shallow u between. Roma std facing in hexastyle temple
