The Triumph of Probus
Obverse:
IMP CM AVR PROBVS PF AVG Draped bust facing right, some silver wash remaining. Notice the lettering in the obverse inscription. The tops and bottoms of letters that would come together in a vertex the way we would write them today are often left open. This is often a point of confusion for new collectors, as it often makes an "A" look like an "H" or a "V" look like the Roman numeral "II".
Reverse:
PROVIDENTIA AVG, XXIH or XXI pi in exergue. Providentia stg l. hldg rod and cornucopia, globe at feet.
The coin is listed in David Sear's Roman Coins and their Values as s3379.
