Small Copper Coin, AE 22 Size with Head of Goddess

This coin is probably from Sardinia or Carthago Nova in Southern Spain. The devices and style show definite Carthagenian influence. The coin probably dates to the Second Punic War (218 - 202 B.C.). The deity portrayed is probably Tanit, as she was portrayed on the contemporary Carthagenian coinage.
