This coin bears an image of Victory in a biga, or two horse chariot charging right. Another common artistic convention in Roman horse portraiture has the necks bent and the head held high. This may have something to do with the type of harness used in ancient times, which caused the horse to pull with its neck rather than its shoulders like a modern horse collar.
