The sharply pointed jaw is one of the characteristics of the coins of Claudius II. This is such a pronounced feature that coins of Claudius II can often be attributed based on the outline of the face alone, even if the coin is so worn or damaged that the obverse inscription is not readable and other major facial features are obliterated. Portraits of Quintillius also had a pointed jaw but other features are used to identify his coins.
