Herennius Etruscus

Emperor A.D 251

Herennius Etruscus was the elder son of the emperor Trajan Decius. He was elevated to Caesar in A. D. 250 and went with his father to fight the invading Goths. He was promoted to Augustus while on the Danube campaign in 251 after a major defeat of the Goths. Herennius Etruscus was killed in the same battle in which his father was ambushed and killed by the Gothic forces under King Cniva.
