Clodius Macer

Rebel against Galba A. D. 68

Clodius Macer was Governor of the Province of Africa under Emperor nero. After Nero's suicide, Macer refused to recognize Galba as the new emperor and raised a new legion of troops to hold Africa against Galba. Galba's troops soon defeated Macer's legion and Galba ordered Macer's execution.
