Ann Blasingham, Tour Director for the American School of Classical Studies at Athens looks down into a Mycenean shaft grave dating to about 1200 B. C. Gold grave goods, including dishes and masks were recovered from these shaft graves. The graves were enclosed in a circular stone wall.
