The Aegean at the Dawn of the Day Vravrona sits about midway down the At6tic peninsula on the Aegean coast. In ancient times, Vravrona was called Brauron. A famous temple to Artemis is situated closeby.
	More Precious than Gold -- A Fine Harbour This is the harbour of Nafplio on the Pelopponese near Epidauraus. The Renaissance era fortress of Bourtzi lies in the harbor of Nafplio out of sight in this picture.

	The Corinthian Canal The Corinthian canal, built during the late Nineteenth Century, connected the Gulf of Corinth with the Aegean. It is only four miles in length and twenty three metres wide. It was completed between 1882 and 1893. Nero attempted the building of a canal in this place but his efforts met with failure.
